South West Manufacturers fight back against the impact of COVID-19

The global COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge economic impact on many businesses. The manufacturing sector was severely impacted by the recent UK lockdown, as it relies so heavily on physical interaction with machinery and parts. 

Participants of the recent Manufacturing Barometer (surveyed at the beginning of July) are feeling slightly more optimistic about future prospects than they were back in April, but many have highlighted a need for future support to help them as they continue to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 over the coming months.
