David has a wealth of experience supporting local and regional companies to help them reach their potential and achieve ambitious growth plans. He is a qualified Chartered Manager (CMgr), and a member of the Chartered Management Institute, Institute of Consulting, and the Institute of Leadership and Management. 

Following an initial career in banking, where he helped businesses access funding to support their growth, David has worked in various business support delivery and management roles over the last 16 years. He spent some time supporting companies as an accredited Business Link Advisor, then ran his own Business Advisory Service and Consultancy as a registered and approved Growth Coach. This experience has given him a sound awareness of business needs across a variety of sectors and has enabled him to find appropriate solutions to their immediate and future challenges.

David called upon his varied experience and expertise when he began managing the delivery of the Dorset Business Growth Hub, overseeing the Dorset Engineering and Manufacturing Cluster, and Inward Investment activities and support across Dorset. During this time, he formed strong connections with many Dorset-based businesses throughout the manufacturing sector, and this role also equipped him with excellent local knowledge of Dorset and the surrounding areas.
