About the Business…
Since Moore International Ltd was first established in 1997, it has gone from strength to strength. By 1998, this small, family-run manufacturing company was appointed sole UK distributors for Swiss-made rolled ball screws and lead screws, and began CNC machining parts in 2006. Fast forward to 2022 and the business now has 17 staff, 14 CNC machines…and is still growing!

From supplying stock products direct from its large premises in Poole, to manufacturing bespoke parts that meet customers’ specific requirements, this business is committed to keeping up with the latest technology and market trends. As a result, it is always fully equipped to cater for a wide variety of needs from a growing (and diverse) customer base.

Current Challenges…
Like many businesses across the UK, Moore International have recently seen costs increase across all products, which, alongside longer delivery timescales, is causing challenges. A shortage of skilled engineers is also contributing to current struggles and making it harder to meet ever growing customer demand.

Despite these difficulties, Moore International is focusing on the factors that are within their control and remain confident about their future growth prospects.

Mark Moore Quote - "Business has never been as challenging as it’s been over the last two years. It’s not about the boss making money, it’s about retaining our valued, high-quality workforce, keeping going through tough times, and investing in our future by working smarter, not harder.”

Positive Business Developments…
In line with its innovative approach to business development, this company is keen to find ways of extending its reach to new consumers, as well as re-engaging past customers. The team are adapting to changing times by stepping up their social media presence and have already seen the benefits associated with this new form of lead generation.

Moore International also plans to take proactive steps to reduce energy consumption and ensure it can meet the government’s 2050 net zero target. The business is currently looking into a variety of options (such as solar panels and roof insulation) to help lower its carbon footprint, whilst keeping monthly energy bills to a minimum.

SWMAS look forward to working with Moore International as they continue to evolve, and will be on hand to provide targeted, and relevant, manufacturing support as and when it is needed.
