To win business, suppliers will need to convince the professional procurement teams of Tier 1/2 contractors at Hinkley Point C (HPC) that they understand what the contractors are looking for. They will have to show that their business or supplier group has the capability, capacity and skills to be trusted to deliver safely with the right quality first time every time at a competitive price.

Attendance at this workshop will assist your company to gain a better understanding of how to successfully compete for and win more contract opportunities, with HPC and elsewhere. Aimed at all industries, this workshop will provide you with tools and skills to help your business or supplier group to prepare and respond to the next bid opportunity.

  • Understanding the clients REAL needs and drivers
  • Managing a successful procurement process
  • Preparing and writing great answers
  • Making your responses easy to read and score
  • Reviewing tender documents and submitting
  • Seeking and receiving feedback
     

Who should attend?

Managing Directors, Business Development Directors, Commercial Directors and/or key members of bid teams who are forming their business's response to the opportunities presented through the Hinkley Point C development. This highly interactive workshop, for business owners and senior directors, will bring you face-to-face with the realities of taking on this kind of challenge and what it could mean for your company.

The event is delivered by the Hinkley Supply Chain Programme, led by SWMAS in collaboration with Somerset Chamber of Commerce and Business West. The programme is funded by the Heart of the South West LEP, West of England LEP and the Welsh Government to provide business assistance to South West and South Wales based companies with the aim of helping them find opportunities within the HPC project. 

Please Note*:

This event is fully funded for SME (small/medium enterprise) companies based in Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, and South Wales. If you fit this criteria, there will be no charge to attend (subject to completion of SME and De Minimis Declarations to confirm eligibility). Maximum of two attendees per company, one ticket required per delegate.

If you are an LE (large enterprise) or based outside of the above specified areas, there will be a charge of £125 to attend this event, which covers two delegates.
