The South West Manufacturing Advisory Service (SWMAS) principal activities are Manufacturing Business Support and Advice, Events Organisation, Training and Research.

Our site does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP address and session info such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is recognised by the Web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics, which SWMAS uses to evaluate use of the site.

You can visit our home page and browse our site without disclosing personal information. We do not use cookies for collecting user information from the site.

You may be asked for personal information if you wish to register for our newsletter or if you wish to receive more information about the service. In each case we will use the personal information you provide to deliver the service requested. The information will also be recorded and used for customer administration, research and development, technical administration of the site and marketing purposes by SWMAS and its partner organisations.

Summary of terms
Browser
Used to locate and display Web pages via a software application. The most popular ones are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
