If your company manufactures for the aerospace and defence sectors in the South West, you can take advantage of a free, independent review, plus funding, to implement changes to improve your business.
The South West Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) is now working with the West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF) to help aerospace and defence companies compete more effectively in the global marketplace. The South West MAS is offering a free review to help companies identify areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation and to explore how supply chain communication and collaboration can be enhanced.
Already working closely with manufacturers from all sectors in the region, the South West MAS helps companies improve their productivity and competitiveness. It was set up in 2002 to serve the 12,000 manufacturers in the South West that generate more than £11billion for the local economy and employ nearly 300,000 people.
- Visited more than 780 manufacturers
- Delivered more than 3,500 days of best practice projects and workshops
- Organised more than 300 events for 6000 attendees
- Helped save more than £30 million across 350 businesses
The work of the Government’s manufacturing troubleshooters also supports the vision of Supply Chains for the 21st Century (SC21) – a nationwide strategy which is designed to ensure that UK supply chains remain competitive and deliver increased value to customers.
"We have worked with South West MAS for nearly three years and throughout that time have implemented lean principles across the company. The support they provide is really focused and they are interested in sustained results not quick fixes."
