Deborah Watson
Board Member
Deborah is Deputy Executive Director at HERDA-SW, the regional Higher Education Association, where she has worked since 2001. Her current role encompasses developing and delivering regional research and knowledge transfer projects, skills development and Continuing Professional Development (CDP) work, and a variety of other activities across the region's Universities and their partners.
Prior to joining HERDA-SW, Deborah held a number of posts at the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council including managing a research portfolio in photonics, optics and medical engineering and as marketing manager.
Deborah received her PhD in Quantum Interference in Semiconductor Systems in 1998 from the University of Exeter.
