Nick Weaver

Nick has been MD of Business Link Gloucestershire since March 2001, having previously been Director of Operations, acting General Manager and Senior Business Adviser.

Since taking over the management of service delivery in August 1996, Nick has seen the organisation through accreditation and re-accreditation, the consolidation of its finances and personally overseen the development of new services in the fields of IT, marketing, environment, manufacturing, retail, people development and agriculture.

Prior to joining Business Link, Nick spent 15 years in contracts and general management, always working for small and medium-sized companies. In 1985 he was part of team of three who organised the management buyout of Kinetics International, a specialist furniture manufacturing business, which grew from nine to 120 employees and a turnover of £5 million by 1991.

He has extensive experience of exporting to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has also undertaken long term projects for Berkeley Homes, Gateway Foodstores and Industrial Dynamics. In 1992 Nick was awarded an MBA from Henley Management College.
