Linda Adams, who has a 28-year career in industry, is another new addition to the SWMAS Board.

Linda is managing director of RJE Engineering Ltd., the manufacturing division of load handling equipment company Lucas Flett Group, which has been quoted in the Financial Times as one of the fastest growing privately-owned groups in the UK.

In the past three years Linda has introduced new strategies which have led to a 20 per cent rise in productivity at the group, which employs 124 staff at two sites.

Prior to this she worked in the same sector as group managing director at TT Boughton Group, a £20 million turnover company which specialises in the manufacture of airport crash tender units. This was preceded by a period as managing director of sport and pre-school toy firm Pot Black (UK) Ltd.

A Fellow of the Institute of Management, Linda spent her first nine years in industry with grass machinery manufacturer, Ransomes Group, which she left in 1996 as managing director of the consumer division.
