Manufacturing Specialist

Chris Eldridge is SWMAS’ Wiltshire specialist.

Chris has worked with companies such as Nestle, Procter and Gamble and BFF Nonwovens, in his capacity as research officer at the University of Bath’s Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre (IMRC).

The centre, funded by the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council, is conducting internationally-leading research and is registered as a Centre of Excellence within SWMAS.

Chris’ work at the IMRC has focused on manufacturing changeovers within continuous production environments, helping manufacturers achieve quicker changeovers and thereby reduce waste.

After leaving Bath with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering with German, Chris took an advanced course in design, manufacture and management at Wolfson College, Cambridge. His CV also includes numerous work placements including spells abroad at Robert Bosch AG in Stuttgart, Germany and Remploy Civil Construction in Queensland, Australia.
